A person may drive livestock on roads within the West Wimmera Shire from one farm to another, or from saleyards to a farm, provided the following requirements are complied with:
- Livestock are only moved on a road between sunrise and sunset and in weather conditions where the visibility for road users is 300 meters.
- The person in charge of the livestock is at least 16 years of age, is competent in handling livestock, and is present and supervises the livestock at all times.
- Signs advising "Give way to stock next () km" are placed at least 300 metres in front of and behind the livestock but no more than 5 kilometres from the livestock and must be removed when droving is completed.
- Livestock being driven on or across the Western Highway must have two people in attendance.
