The Victorian government is developing the Victorian Rural Drainage Strategy to help landowners make choices about how they manage water logging on agricultural land to improve agricultural productivity in dryland areas while managing the environmental and cultural impacts of drainage.
This is an opportunity for landowners to talk directly with the State government representatives about their experience and knowledge of rural drainage management. Your contribution is vital to the development of this Rural Drainage Strategy as it will impact on not only West Wimmera, but all rural communities within Victoria.
If you missed the first meeting in October, the State government representatives are returning to Edenhope for a second meeting to be held in the Edenhope Mechanics Hall on 14th December 2017 commencing at 11.00am.
