In October 2018, three Silo Art Projects in West Wimmera Shire Council received funding from the state government's Pick-My-Project initiative. This included $102,100 for silo art at Goroke and $199,600 for silo art at both Serviceton and Kaniva.
Communities in these towns, along with GrainCorp and West Wimmera Shire Council are working together to bring these new art installations to life.
In October 2020, painting started at GrainCorp silos at both the Goroke and Kaniva.
Live time lapse cameras were set up at each site, allowing people to follow the painting process from home. Painting is now complete and the time lapse compilations are viewable below:
Pick-My-Project was a state government community grants initiative, with $30 million available to local projects.
