West Wimmera Shire Council Local Laws team will be undertaking Corella management control activities around Lake Wallace, Edenhope from Wednesday 23 December 2020 until further notice to discourage Corellas from damaging council assets. Gas guns will be in operation intermittently between the hours of 7.00am to 9.00pm.
Residents and householders may hear three to four loud bursts of fire from gas guns strategically placed around the Lake.
It is recommended that residents and householders secure or confine any animals that may be affected by the noise level of these gas guns during these periods of time.
This form of wildlife management control is an integral part of council's program to discourage corellas from frequenting the area and causing destruction of assets, and council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause in the short term.
If you would like any further information, please contact Council’s Local Laws Officer on 13 99 72.
