Edenhope Early Childhood Service
Edenhope Early Childhood Service is run by West Wimmera Shire Council, in conjunction with Edenhope Kindergarten.
The long daycare service operates from 52 Langford Street, Edenhope, from Mondays to Thursdays.
Families are required to provide nappies and all meals for their children, including lunch, morning tea and afternoon tea.

Fees and Child Care subsidy
Childcare fees for children over three are set at $125 per day. Childcare fees for children under three are set at $135 per day.
Fees will be payable in accordance with your enrolment and will not be refundable if your child does not attend.
To reduce the burden of fees, and subject to approval, the service will offer access to the Federal Government’s Childcare Subsidy scheme. Most families will be eligible for discounted childcare access through this scheme, which covers up to 85% of fees. (Caps apply). As of March 2022, all families will also receive a 95% discount for a second child (under the age of 5) no matter what their income.

Before and after kindergarten care
On the 2 days your child is enrolled in the kindergarten program you may elect to enrol for aftercare (1 hour) or before care (30mins) at a cost of $15 per hour.
After kindergarten care will be available from 4:00pm – 5:00pm and before care from 8.00am - 8.30am. Fees for before and after care will be payable in accordance with enrolment and, like all fees, will be non-refundable if your child does not attend.
School holidays
A long day enrolment guarantees you a place during school holidays. For kinder enrolments, a limited number of places will be offered for the childcare program during school holidays. Families will be able to access Childcare Subsidies for each day their child attends, subject to participation requirements set by the federal government.
Bookings for long day care in school holidays will be subject to availability of places and staffing
