Council maintains strong results in annual community survey

West Wimmera Shire Council has once again ranked well above the state average in the 2025 Community Satisfaction Survey.
The annual survey, conducted by JWS Research on behalf of Local Government Victoria, asked residents to rate Council performance across several key areas, including overall performance, community consultation, lobbying, decision making, customer service, and roads.

Lighting upgrades officially opened in Kaniva and Harrow

Two major lighting upgrades were celebrated on Thursday at Harrow and Kaniva recreation reserves, marking a significant investment in local sports infrastructure across West Wimmera.
The Harrow AFL lighting upgrade project and the Kaniva AFL lighting upgrade project were officially opened by Mayor Tim Meyer, Councillors and community members.

Community Strengthening Grants awarded

West Wimmera Shire Council has awarded funding to four community groups as part of Round 2 of the 2024-25 Community Strengthening Grants Program.

The successful recipients are Telopea Downs Progress Association, Edenhope Adult Riding Club, Kaniva Gun Club (auspiced by LINK Neighbourhood House), and Kaniva Hockey Club.
