Goroke silos complete

This program aims to improve the visitor experience along the Silo Art Trail and surrounding regions by working with a selected number of individual businesses to develop their offering. The project will assist participant businesses to:

• Understand what visitors want when they visit the region, and how each business can meet that need

• Improve their physical infrastructure to meet the expectations of visitors, including visual merchandising

• Build their digital capacity including online marketing, e-commerce and augmented reality

The program will run for 12 months and include three one-on-one visits to each business, supported by ongoing mentoring between visits. Participants will be required to develop a short business action plan at the start of the program and track progress against identified goals.

This business training program will be delivered by Tania Jacobs of The Tourism Ninja. Tania is a tourism industry specialist with 25 years' experience in tourism marketing, product and business development, customer journey, digital marketing and regional trails. She is passionate about developing successful, sustainable businesses through practical approaches.

The State Government funded initiative is valued at $3,000 per business. While there is no cost to participate, successful applicants are required to commit to the entire 12-month program.

Businesses and volunteer organisations from Yarriambiack, Buloke, Hindmarsh and West Wimmera can apply. Participant numbers are limited, and applicants are not guaranteed acceptance into the program.
