West Wimmera Shire Council (WWSC) is seeking community feedback on the draft Asset Management Plan. The plan is a key document that outlines how Council will manage infrastructure and assets over the next 10 years to ensure they continue to meet community needs.

What is the Asset Management Plan?

The Asset Management Plan sets out how Council will maintain, renew, upgrade, and manage its infrastructure over the next decade. It helps guide responsible investment in roads, buildings, open spaces, and other key assets across the shire.

The key objectives of the plan are to:

  • Provide clear information about how Council manages different classes of assets
  • Ensure asset maintenance, renewal, and upgrade decisions are informed by accurate data
  • Support long-term financial sustainability and alignment with the Long-Term Financial Plan (LTFP)
  • Ensure assets continue to meet the needs and expectations of the community
  • Meet the requirements of the Local Government Act 2020

The draft plan includes updated data and information since the original 2022 version was adopted, including:

  • Asset condition and valuation data
  • Renewal requirements (Moloney modelling)
  • Customer request management (CRM) data
  • Customer Satisfaction Survey insights
  • An updated Improvement Plan
  • Updated financial data, including the four-year budget figures from 2025–2029
