West Wimmera Shire Council has placed its 2025-2029 draft Revenue and Rating Plan on public exhibition and is inviting community feedback.

The Revenue and Rating Plan is a key part of Council’s financial framework.

It outlines how Council proposes to raise income over the next four years to fund services, infrastructure and community priorities identified in the Council Plan and annual budget.

The draft plan has been prepared in line with Council’s ongoing commitment to financial sustainability, fairness and transparency.

It explains how rates, fees and charges are calculated and applied across different property types, and how revenue aligns with the delivery of essential services and infrastructure upgrades.

The draft plan supports the 2025-26 draft budget and annual plan, which were also endorsed at Council’s meeting on 16 May 2025 and are currently open for public consultation.

Community members are encouraged to read the draft Revenue and Rating Plan and provide their feedback before consultation closes at 5pm on Sunday 15 June 2025.

The document is available to view here and in person at Council’s Customer Service Centres in Edenhope and Kaniva.

Council will consider all feedback before finalising the plan at its meeting on 30 June 2025.
