Draft budget 2026-27 released for community feedback

West Wimmera Shire Council has endorsed its 2026-27 draft budget, with a continued focus on financial sustainability, service delivery and investment in critical infrastructure.
Council endorsed both the 2026-27 draft budget and annual plan at a meeting on Wednesday.

Funding secured for key community upgrades

West Wimmera Shire Council has successfully secured State Government funding to deliver a series of important upgrades to community and sporting facilities across the shire.
Council has received funding for works at the Serviceton Bowling Club, Edenhope Swimming Centre, and the Harrow Recreation Reserve.

End of Fire Danger Period – West Wimmera Shire

On display until 30 April 2026

The Fire Danger Period will soon conclude across West Wimmera Shire, with different end dates applying to the northern and southern areas.

The Fire Danger Period will lift in the northern part of the shire on 30 March, and in the southern part of the shire on 7 April.

West Wimmera Shire draft budget 2026-27

Submissions closing on 11 May 2026, 12:00 PM

West Wimmera Shire Council’s 2026-27 Draft Budget and Annual Plan were endorsed by Council at its meeting on 15 April 2026 and are now on public exhibition for community feedback.

Council will consider community feedback prior to the formal adoption of the budget and annual plan at a future Council meeting.
