Every Victorian council is required to adopt a Council Plan within the first year of a new Council term, under the Local Government Act 2020. 

The plan sets out Council’s strategic direction for the next four years, outlining how it will serve and support the people who live, work, visit and do business in the whire.

The Council Plan 2025-2029 was developed through valuable contributions and input from the community, including a community panel.

The Council Plan is structured around four goals:

  1. Healthy, inviting and connected community
  2. Diverse and growing economy 
  3. Resillient and sustainable environment
  4. Operational excellence

Each goal outlines how Council will work towards its objective and what Council will focus on.
