The upgrade of the Apsley Recreation Reserve is now complete, delivering safe and modern sporting facilities for the local community.
This project has replaced the outdated and unsafe netball and tennis courts with:
Two new netball courts and three new tennis courts, built to Netball Victoria and Tennis Victoria standards
New lighting infrastructure, allowing for night games and training
Accessible footpaths and parking, improving safety and inclusivity
Better court placement, offering direct access to existing change rooms and undercover spectator viewing areas
The improvements address long-standing safety concerns and provide local players and spectators with a quality, competition-ready venue that supports year-round sport in Apsley.
The upgrade has been a key priority for the Apsley community since 2019, identified through the Apsley Community Plan and strongly supported by the Recreation Reserve Committee, Edenhope-Apsley Football Netball Club, Apsley Tennis Club, Apsley Primary School, and the Horsham District Football Netball League.
