Discover grants with West Wimmera Shire’s new funding finder

Community groups and businesses in West Wimmera Shire will now be able to easily find and apply for grants with Council’s new funding finder website.

Council has joined forces with a new grant search engine, Grant Guru, to deliver a free one-stop-shop website for business and community grants.

The website allows residents to use a search engine to find available grants. Grants can also be filtered by a specific location, industry, or project type.

The website can also give tips for finding and applying for grants to maximise the chances of receiving funding.

Council Chief Executive Officer David Bezuidenhout said Council’s partnership with the Grant Guru website would benefit the West Wimmera community.

“There are lots of funding opportunities out there, but the process of finding and applying for grants can be daunting and time consuming – many people don’t know where to start looking,” he said.

“West Wimmera Funding Finder will take the guess work out of searching from grants and help groups and business navigate the process.”

Mr Bezuidenhout said people could also sign up to receive email alerts about available grants.

“To get started looking for grants, people just need to register and create a log-in, which is free and easy to do,” he said.
