West Wimmera Shire Council has appointed Mr Paul Brumby to the role of CEO in a confidential Council Meeting held on Monday November 16. Mr Brumby will act as CEO during the period of recruitment for a permanent CEO.
Mr Brumby comes to West Wimmera with a wealth of experience working in Local Government, most recently as the Corporate Director at the Central Goldfields Shire.
Outgoing West Wimmera CEO David Leahy welcomed Mr Brumby stating, “I wish him all the best and welcome him into the role of CEO”.
Mr Leahy further stated “Mr Brumby’s experience in Local Government and his accounting background will be an asset in the implementation of the Local Government Act 2020”.
Recently elected Council Mayor Bruce Meyer also welcomed Mr Brumby into the role.
Mr Brumby will start on November 30 and recruitment for a permanent CEO will commence in the next month.
