Tania Kernaghan set to perform in Kaniva

West Wimmera Shire Council is excited to announce that country music superstar Tania Kernaghan will perform at the shire’s upcoming seniors concert.

This free event will be on March 31 from 1.30pm to 3.30pm at the Kaniva Recreation Reserve.

Tania Kernaghan is an Australian country music singer, who has had 15 number one radio hit singles throughout her career.

She has won numerous awards, including being named the Country Music Awards of Australia female vocalist of the year in both 1997 and 1998.

Council Volunteer and Events Administrator Amanda Mann said it was fantastic to have Tania performing at the event.

She said the seniors concert was a COVID-safe, outdoor event, and attendees should make sure they check in using the QR code on arrival.

“Everyone attending must be double vaccinated, or able to provide a medical exception certificate,” she said.

“Following the concert, there will be an afternoon tea provided.”

Bus transport will be available from other towns in West Wimmera Shire. Masks must be worn on buses.

Bookings for the bus are essential and can be made by calling Council on 13 99 72.

Buses will leave Apsley at 11am and travel via Edenhope and Goroke to Kaniva.

An all-abilities bathroom will be available at the Kaniva Recreation Reserve.
