What council services are still operating?

West Wimmera Shire Council services will be operating as follows in line with its pandemic plan.

Please note, this is a rapidly changing situation. This page will be regularly updated

Edenhope Customer Service Centre Operating by appointment only 5585 9900
Kaniva Customer Service Centre  Operating by appointment only 5392 7700
VicRoads  By by appointment only on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Meals on Wheels Being delivered by council staff, instead of volunteers
Libraries Closed until further notice
Transfer stations  Available to residents and ratepayers only. No cash accepted.
Maternal and child health All consultation and immunisations will be by appointment only. Call or text Monica on 0428 595 725
Supported playgroups Cancelled until further notice. New online communication through KidsXap coming soon
Swimming pools  Closed for the season
Waste management  Operating as per normal
Four-year-old kindergarten Will resume in term 2 (fee free), but if you can stay home, please do
 Three-year-old kindergarten Cancelled until further notice
Caravan parks and camp grounds  Closed to visitors
Playgrounds and skateparks Closed until further notice
 Firewood permits By appointment only on Tuesdays and Thursdays 
 Payment for animal registrations By appointment only on Tuesdays and Thursdays
 Kaniva fauna park Animals are being fed by council staff, not volunteers
 Cemetery enquiries  Call Kaniva or Edenhope customer service centres
