Whipcracking entertainment at Kaniva

West Wimmera Shire Council is bringing world-record whipcracker Nathan Griggs to Kaniva for an unforgettable family show.

The performance will be at the Kaniva Recreation Reserve on Wednesday, 4 February 2026 at 6pm.

Griggs, a five-time Guinness World Record holder, will deliver a high-energy performance packed with whipcracking, music, and humour for all ages.

The free event is designed as a fun-filled evening for the whole family.

Food, drinks, and merchandise will be available for purchase. The Kaniva Cricket Club will be cooking a barbecue, and the Kaniva-Leeor United Football Netball Club will be running the bar and selling lollies at the canteen.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own chair.

Council Chief Executive Officer David Bezuidenhout said this was a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy world-class entertainment right here in Kaniva.

“Griggs’ performance promises something for everyone and it’s a great way to kick off the year with family fun.”

Entry to the show is free, and all ages are welcome.
