Harrow, Edenhope, Apsley and Goroke locals can have their internet questions answered when nbn Local north west Victoria team members visit next month.

The nbn local team will be on-hand answering questions about nbn, helping people to understand differing nbn™ technology types, and how to connect as well as listening to residents and businesses about their connectivity needs.

nbn local team members will be in Harrow, Edenhope, Apsley and Goroke across Tuesday March 15 and Wednesday March 16.

Head of nbn Local Victoria Emily peel said some people may not be aware of what nbn™ options might be available to connect to fast and reliable broadband through a retail service provider.

“The days of listening to your computer dial up to the internet are now just a distant memory,” she said.

“Our lives and businesses have evolved and technology has changed; meaning secure, fast and reliable internet connection is more important now than ever before.”

Among the options available to connect include nbn Sky Muster™ and Sky Muster™ Plus services. The services provide access to fast and reliable broadband through retail service providers. The nbn Sky Muster™ Plus service allows people to access unmetered data for essential online activities. This means people can perform essential internet tasks that will not count towards the plan’s monthly data allowance.

“The nbn™ network is available to 99.9 per cent of businesses and homes in regional Victoria. The feedback we get from communities across north west Victoria is that people aren’t aware that nbn™ is available almost everywhere,” Ms Peel said.

“As a result, many people are not experiencing the benefits of being connected or are using expensive mobile data plans when they don’t need to.”
