Call for expressions of interest

Interested residents of West Wimmera Shire are invited to submit an expression of interest for the following position:

Community Representative Wimmera Development Association (WDA) Board

Key attributes for this role are:

  • Passion and enthusiasm for the Wimmera region.
  • A demonstrated commitment to participation and consultation.
  • Availability to attend monthly Board meetings in Horsham (which are currently being held via video link, during the COVID-19 lockdown)

The Community Representative will be appointed for a two-year term, and Council will provide reimbursement for travel costs as required.Other West Wimmera representatives to the WDA Board are the CEO David Leahy and one Councillor (plus one alternate rep Councillor when required)Expressions of interest should include a one-page statement outlining the applicant’s interest in the position, and the attributes they would bring to the role.
