The Fire Danger Period will soon conclude across West Wimmera Shire, with different end dates applying to the northern and southern areas.
The Fire Danger Period will lift in the northern part of the shire on 30 March, and in the southern part of the shire on 7 April.
Once the Fire Danger Period has ended in your area, campfires and other permitted outdoor burning activities may resume, subject to any local conditions and relevant regulations.
Residents and visitors are reminded that restrictions may still apply depending on weather conditions and fire risk. It remains important to exercise caution and adhere to all fire safety requirements.
Further information, including what activities are permitted, is available on the CFA website: https://www.cfa.vic.gov.au/fire-ban-dates
