West Wimmera Shire Council is seeking Expressions of Interest for the removal or demolition of the former Scouts Hall located at 19 Young Street, Kaniva.
Council is inviting proposals from individuals or businesses willing to remove the building either at no cost or at a cost considered low by market standards, generally less than $5,000. The building is timber framed, metal clad with a timber floor, and measures approximately 18.5 metres by 10.5 metres, with an additional 5 metre by 10.5 metre verandah.
The building is offered on an “as is, where is” basis, and the successful respondent will be responsible for obtaining all required permits, approvals, safety measures and compliance requirements. The structure must be removed within 12 months from the date the contract is awarded.

Expressions of Interest close at 5pm on Monday 30 March 2026. Submissions may be mailed to West Wimmera Shire Council, PO Box 201, Edenhope VIC 3318, or delivered in a sealed envelope to Council Customer Service Centres at 49 Elizabeth Street, Edenhope or 25 Baker Street, Kaniva.
