Forest Fire Management Victoria advise that the following planned burn will be carried out today, weather and fuel moisture conditions permitting:
SHEEPWASH CHARAM WR – WALPA (21ha) Traditional Owner burn, 22km NE of Edenhope, South West Spatial Vision Map page 309. Grid Reference: 447161, 441157, 436150
This burn will be ignited between 10:00 hrs and 20:00 hrs Wednesday 19th October 2022.

Wotjobaluk Traditional Owners will be carrying out this burn with support from FFMVic in partnership with Barengi Gadjin Land Council (BGLC) to assist the growth of native grasses.
You may be affected by smoke from this planned burn
Smoke may be visible from Wimmera Highway, Goroke-Harrow Road, Ullswater
What to do about:
SMOKE
- If you are experiencing any symptoms that may be due to smoke exposure, the Department of Health and Human Services advises that you should seek medical advice or call Nurse on Call on 1300 606 024
- Close windows and doors to prevent smoke from entering
ROADS
- Road travel may be hazardous due to low visibility associated with smoke
- Signs may be in place to slow traffic. Obey all traffic signs and instructions from fire agency crews near the burn
