Proposal of Intent to Sell or Transfer Land

West Wimmera Shire Council (Council) hereby gives notice under section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 (LGA 2020) that it proposes to sell the land described below.

The land is approximately 3.065 ha in area and is described as:

Lot 1 Plan of Subdivision 839354K

5464 Coleraine- Edenhope Road, Harrow

The whole of the land contained in certificate of title Volume 12288 Folio 516

The land is shown outlined orange in the aerial photograph below.

The land is zoned Farming FZ with a Bushfire Management Overlay (BMO) and an Environmental Significance Overlay (ESO2). Any prior existing use rights (residential) have expired.

Council proposes that the land be offered for sale by expression of interest (EOI), on the following key terms:

  1. a deposit of 10% of the purchase price payable on the day of sale; and
  2. any other terms as reasonably required by Council.

In relation to the EOI process, responses must be submitted using the EOI documentation, a copy of which can be obtained by:

  1. downloading the documentation attached to this public notice online
  2. contacting Council’s Acting Director of Corporate and Community Services, Vin McKay at:

The closing time and date for EOI responses is 4:00pm on Friday 22 October 2021.

Any person, whether or not a respondent to the EOI, may make a submission to Council in relation to the proposal.
