On 20 May 2020, West Wimmera Shire Council formally considered its Proposed Budget for 2020/21. The following information is provided in respect of this Public Notice:
Council will meet to adopt its Budget at the Edenhope Council Chamber, 49 Elizabeth Street, Edenhope at 2.00pm on 15 July 2020.
Copies of the Proposed Budget 2020/21 are available for inspection until 5pm 19 June 2020 at Council’s Customer Service Centres at Baker Street, Kaniva and Elizabeth Street, Edenhope, or on Council’s website below.
Submissions
Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 (the Act) provides that any person may make a submission on any proposal contained in the Proposed Budget or the declaration of rates and charges. Any person proposing to make a submission must do so in writing no later than 5.00pm Friday 19 June 2020.
Written submissions must be addressed to Mr David Leahy, Chief Executive Officer, PO Box 201, Edenhope, VIC, 3318, or emailed to davidleahy@westwimmera.vic.gov.au All written submissions lodged with Council will become public documents available for inspection by the public in accordance with the Act.
Any person who wishes to be heard in support of their written submission must request this in their submission. Such persons will be entitled to appear in person or by a person acting on his or her behalf before the Council meeting where submissions will be heard. This will be at a Special Council Meeting on Wednesday 24 June 2020 at the Edenhope Community Hall, 76 Elizabeth Street, Edenhope VIC. Time TBC.
